The last rites of a Terrorist State

A geopolitical thriller, a work of fiction in the backdrop of the current state of the India – Pakistan toxic relationship.

The Book

Summary

Yet another deadly blast at a mosque in Kashmir kills over 500 people, sucking Sub Inspector Ikram Wahid on a murderous chase of a Pakistani terrorist, Basheer; from Baramulla to Srinagar to Delhi itself. His handler, Colonel Hammad is making his plans for something bigger.

India has long been at the receiving end of Pakistan’s “non-state actors” and their jihadi philosophy.

This is not the India of 1947. This is a new India, one that will not keep quiet. It is time to take the war back to Pakistan.

Antim Sanskar - The Last Rites Of A Terrorist State is a geopolitical thriller, a work of fiction in the backdrop of the current state of the India – Pakistan toxic relationship. Some events in the book are inspired by real world events, the rest are fiction; a product of the author’s vivid imagination, but in the realm of possibility.

Any military action undertaken by India would prove the narrative that India is Pakistan’s mortal enemy, and inspire a new wave of jihadists, who receive funding, state patronage and social sanction in that country. Every drop of jihadi blood spilled gives rise to another ten, very much like Raktabheeja. The new India is determined to put an end to this never-ending cycle of violence, and tackle the twin-headed monster of jihadi Raktabheejas and a terrorist state.

Drawing from the timeless wisdom of Hindu Dharma, on Maha Shivaratri night, India dances the Tandava Nritya, a cosmic dance of rage, death and destruction. A reluctant, finely calibrated war that is being forced on her.

Planned to near perfection, this kinetic action seeks to achieve the total destruction of the twin-headed monster; without collateral damage, without a protracted war. Will India succeed? What kind of a peace will India obtain? And at what cost?
